Center Philosophy

Our center is committed to establishing and deepening research in the field of artificial intelligence, combining the unique strengths of NCCU in the humanities and social sciences, fulfilling our societal responsibilities, and actively cultivating future AI talents. We aim to develop into a research center that integrates AI with the fields of humanities and social sciences.

Promote the integration and interdisciplinary cooperation of artificial intelligence with NCCU's characteristic fields.

Become a matchmaking and collaborative platform for teaching and research capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence.

Mission

Development Focus

In addition to focusing on interdisciplinary research in artificial intelligence (AI), the primary mission of this center is also to promote interdisciplinary cooperation and the popularization of AI education. Under this positioning, the center will concentrate on cross-disciplinary applications in AI research and teaching. The development focuses on three main aspects: "AI Research," "AI Community," and "AI Education." It aims to facilitate the cross-disciplinary connection of AI-related research within the institution and digital empowerment, while also keeping abreast of the demands and trends in both the industrial and academic sectors. The center acts as a platform for collaboration and exchange, playing a role in offering development in AI technology applications across various fields, introduction or consulting in AI technology, project commissioning, and cross-disciplinary cooperation in AI among industries, government, academia, and research sectors. The goal is to contribute to the future development of the AI field within the institution.

Development Goals

  1. Promote integrated research and interdisciplinary applications of artificial intelligence issues both inside and outside the institution, providing professional technical collaboration and consulting services. 
  2. Advance the popularization of artificial intelligence and offer educational services related to artificial intelligence knowledge and skills. 
  3. Conduct academic exchanges and practical discussions on interdisciplinary artificial intelligence issues at both national and international levels, and promote them. 
  4. Promote the formation of interdisciplinary teams to implement interdisciplinary artificial intelligence research projects or industry-academia collaboration projects.
